The newly improved ITT NQ 5001 (AN/PVS-7B) is the world's most rugged, reliable, high performance night vision goggle. Extensively used by the U.S. Army for ground operations, the 5001 is the state-of-the-art in night vision technology.

Utilizing a high performance MX-10130 Gen 3 image intensifier, the 5001 can be used in the darkest of conditions - headmounted or handheld. The system has a built-in IR (infrared) illuminator for close up viewing in total darkness. Engineered for maximum comfort, the 5001 is light weight and easy to use. The 5001's features include a low battery indicator and a high light sensor which automatically cuts power to the image tube when too much light is present.
